  • We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Technical Artist to join our team. As a Technial Artist, you will act as a bridge between our art and programming teams, helping to ensure that our visuals are not only stunning but also performant and technically optimized. You will play a key role in developing new tools, solving pipeline challenges, and ensuring that our game runs smoothly across multiple platforms. Your expertise will help push the visual quality of Phasmophobia while maintaining efficient workflows.


    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and programmers to create and maintain efficient, scalable art pipelines.

    • Optimize art assets and scenes to ensure the best performance on PC, VR, PSVR2, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

    • Develop tools to improve workflows and automate repetitive tasks within Unity.

    • Investigate, identify, and solve visual and technical issues during development.

    • Support the art team with shader creation, material setup, lighting, and VFX integration.

    • Ensure that assets meet both artistic and technical standards and work seamlessly within Unity.

    • Stay up to date with the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in real-time graphics and optimization.

    • Participate in regular team meetings, providing technical insights and support to improve the game's visual quality and performance.


    Requirements:

    • Professional experience as a Senior Tech Artist or similar role, on a shipped Unity title.

    • Strong experience with Unity, including working with prefabs, lighting, shaders, materials, and asset optimization.

    • Solid understanding of performance profiling and optimization for multi-platform games.

    • Excellent programming skills in C#.

    • Familiarity with 3D asset creation workflows (knowledge of tools like Blender, Maya, Substance or similar).

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes to nontechnical team members.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Passion for horror games.

    • Knowledge and experience playing Phasmophobia.

  • We are looking for a Character Artist to create, texture, and implement a variety of high-quality 3D characters and creatures. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of anatomy, form, and silhouette, and can bring a unique, unsettling style to the world of Phasmophobia. You will be working directly with the Art Director and Game Director to conceptualize and build models that enhance the horror experience for our players.


    Responsibilities:

    • Create high-quality, realistic 3D character models, clothing and creatures from concept art and design briefs.

    • Develop highly detailed, PBR-ready textures and materials.

    • Rig and skin characters for animation in Unity.

    • Implement and optimize character assets directly into the Unity engine.

    • Collaborate with the design team to ensure characters are visually compelling and functionally sound within the game's mechanics.

    • Work within technical constraints and optimize models for performance in a real-time environment.


    Requirements:

    • A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality character art.

    • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software of your preference, and zBrush / Substance Painter.

    • Solid understanding of the PBR workflow.

    • Experience with character rigging and skinning.

    • Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks in a remote environment.

    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

    • A passion for horror games.


    Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience with Unity Engine.

    • Shader authoring experience.

    • Knowledge of the Phasmophobia game and its existing art style.

    • Previous experience in the game industry.

  • As a Senior Environment Artist, you will play a crucial role in the creation of the environments our players explore from conceptualization to implementation. You will be a key member of our art team, working closely with other artists to deliver outstanding results for our games. Your expertise in creating compelling environments will be a valued part of our team, where you will be instrumental in creating and refining visual elements. This role is hybrid at our offices in Southampton.

    Applicants please note: We will commence evaluating applications for this role starting early January so please be aware of the delay in processing in this instance.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Create high quality and performance efficient assets for levels, working closely with other artists and designers.

    • Collaborate with others to ensure consistency across environments.

    • Create new Substance assets, textures, materials, and 3D props — contributing to both hero assets and modular environment sets as required.

    • Use the DCC tools of your choice — we want you working with the software you’re most comfortable with to deliver your best modelling work.

    • Take ownership of visual aspects of environments and related assets throughout the process.

    • Providing regular updates, participating in creative discourse and proving advice to more junior artists as required.

    • Contribute to a constant approach of refinement and improvement across the art department.

    Requirements:

    • Solid experience of working with Unity engine.

    • Solid experience working with Substance Designer and Substance Painter

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Strong collaborator with a team mindset

    • A solid knowledge of, and commitment to keeping up to date with industry trends and new technologies

    • Experienced with composition from purpose and structure through spatial relationships, colour, form and style.

    • Excellent understanding of modular and hero asset creation and workflows

    • Experience of using JIRA or similar

    • Experience using version control such as Git, Perforce or Plastic

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the games industry with at least 1 shipped title

    The pay range for this role is:

    40,000 - 60,000 GBP per year (Hybrid (Southampton, England, GB))

  • As an Environment Artist , you will play an important role in creating the environments our players explore. You’ll work closely with other artists, designers, and the wider development team to deliver high-quality, performant environment assets while continuing to grow your craft and technical expertise. This role is hybrid at our offices in Southampton.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Create high-quality, performance-efficient assets for levels, collaborating closely with other artists and designers.

    • Help maintain visual consistency and quality across environments by working within established art direction and pipelines.

    • Create and refine Substance assets, textures, materials, and 3D props, contributing to both hero assets and modular environment sets.

    • Take ownership of specific environment areas or asset sets from blockout through to final implementation.

    • Participate in creative discussions, provide regular progress updates, and respond constructively to feedback.

    • Support junior artists where appropriate and contribute to knowledge sharing within the art team.

    Requirements:

    • Highly knowledgeable using a 3D package of your choice to create high quality assets.

    • Strong experience using Substance Designer and Substance Painter.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.

    • A solid understanding of current industry trends, tools, and workflows.

    • Strong knowledge of composition, including spatial relationships, colour, form, and style.

    • Good understanding of modular and hero asset creation pipelines.

    • Experience using JIRA or similar project management tools.

    • Experience with version control systems such as Git, Perforce, or Plastic.

    • Approximately 3–4 years of professional experience within the games industry or a related field, with at least one shipped title or equivalent production experience.
